Children and care home residents celebrated World Book Day together at a care home in Crewkerne recently.
The event took place at The Orchards, a 45-bed care home, and welcomed children from Jigsaw Preschool for shared stories and laughter.
The intergenerational visit brought a warm and lively atmosphere to the home, with children and residents reading together and enjoying each other’s company.
Michelle Jones, activities co-ordinator at The Orchards, said: "It was a joy to see the children and residents having so much fun, so many hearty belly laughs – this is what outstanding care looks like."
The care home, located in the heart of Crewkerne, regularly invites schools and community groups to visit.
These interactions are designed to help residents stay connected with the wider community.
