Chard man sentenced after committing robbery at Tesco store

A CHARD man has been sentenced for committing a robbery at a Tesco store in Somerset.

Christopher Dean, 47, of Taylors Meade, Combe St Nicholas, Chard, appeared in Taunton Crown Court on June 10 2026.

According to the court listings, Dean robbed a person at Tesco on Tapstone Road, Chard, on February 4 of this year and took a selection of meat and health and beauty products to the value of £355.35.

According to the court listings, Dean pleaded guilty on Monday, April 27 of this year.

Dean has been sentenced to serve a community order until June 9 2028.

He must also complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
