Chard
Miss Tina Sparkle
A drag queen will headline a ladies' night in Chard this week.
Miss Tina Sparkle will take to the stage at Chard Guildhall on Friday, May 29.
Organisers say the event is open to everyone, aged 18 or over, as long as they have an open mind.
Vocalist Chantelle, who performs at weddings and events, will open the evening.
Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm.

The Kilima Quartet
A renowned Somerset string quartet is set to perform in Crewkerne on Sunday, May 31.
The Kilima Quartet's planned repertoire features Mendelssohn's Quartet Op 44 No 1 in D.
The performance will take place at the South Somerset Music Centre between 3pm and 4.10pm, with doors opening at 2.30pm.
Rowan Patterson (violin), Polly Orr-Ewing (violin), Alexandra Ennis (viola), and Chris Sampson (cello) make up the quartet, all known for playing in a range of groups, from symphony orchestras to folk bands.

Dave's Big General Knowledge Quiz, aimed at raising funds for Ilminster Arts Centre, will commence at 7.30pm on May 29.
Visitors can anticipate a range of questions, a bar, and a raffle.
Teams can be up to four people, with a winning team prize and a raffle prize.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks or a picnic.
Doors open at 6.30pm and the bar will be available.

Ms Dillon is renowned for her passionate and confident renditions of traditional songs, having steadfastly remained dedicated to her Irish cultural heritage throughout her career.

Yeovil
Annie
A theatre group is set to perform a classic musical in Yeovil this week.
Castaway Theatre Group will perform Annie at Westlands Entertainment Venue from Thursday, May 28, to Saturday, May 30, with tickets available at westlandsyeovil.co.uk/whats-on/musicals/castaways-annie/10223/#details.
Set in 1930s New York, the show follows the journey of a brave orphan named Annie.
The production will include 70 young actors performing songs such as Tomorrow, Maybe, and Never Fully Dressed.
Annie will be performed every day at 7pm, with an additional 2pm matinee show on Saturday.
