Youngsters in Chard are encouraged to join a free three-day immersive digital experience during the Easter holidays.
Capture Chard will run from Tuesday, April 7, to Thursday, April 9, between 10am and 3pm, at The Hive.
Participants, aged 12 and over, will collaboratively build a pop-up digital museum, celebrating the essence of Chard through art, technology, and storytelling.
The project, spearheaded by Somerset Film, requires no prior experience, and all necessary equipment is provided.
The programme offers a variety of activities.
Participants will learn 3D scanning techniques, contributing to a communal virtual exhibition.
They will also record personal stories inspired by Chard, showcase significant objects, and create visual content to shape the museum's aesthetic.
The agenda further includes producing soundscapes and music with apps and software, adding depth to the exhibition.
The initiative encourages creativity, curiosity, and community engagement, presenting a fresh perspective on local heritage.
