AN air ambulance was called, and a person has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, following an incident in Chard last night.
At 11.15pm on Wednesday, March 18, an incident occurred in the Jocelyn area in Chard, resulting in a large emergency response which, according to residents, included three police cars, one air ambulance, and two ambulance vehicles.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust confirmed an air ambulance was sent to the scene, which landed in Jocelyn Park, along with an operations officer and double-crewed ambulance.
One patient was taken by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, following the incident.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 23:15hrs on Wednesday 18 March to an incident in Chard.
“We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene.
“We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police also confirmed they were at the scene helping the ambulance service.
