Quiz Night
A quiz night is coming to a venue in Yeovil this week.
The event will take place at Westlands Entertainment Venue on Wednesday, January 28, starting at 8pm.
Attendees can expect an evening of competition and fun, with prizes available for both the winning and losing teams.
Team registration will start from 7.30pm.
Participation in the quiz costs £3 per person, with teams having up to six members.

Chard Antiques, Craft & Vintage Fair
Chard Guildhall is set to host its weekly antiques, craft, and vintage fair on Thursday, January 29.
Since its beginning in 1967, the indoor fair, which will run from 9am to 1pm, is one of the longest-running of its kind in the county.
It offers a variety of stalls every Thursday, featuring antiques and collectables, crafts, jewellery, handmade cards, militaria, and curios.

The event has broadened its scope over time to include crafts and vintage items.

An Evening with Arsenal Legends 2026
Legends of Arsenal FC are coming to Yeovil for a special event this week.
On Friday, January 30, Westlands Ballroom will host An Evening with Arsenal Legends 2026, featuring Paul Merson, Charlie Nicholas, Alan Smith, and Perry Groves.
The Gunners icons will recount their careers and share training ground stories.
Attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions to the football stars.
The evening is open to ages 14 and above, with tickets priced at £36.50 and VIP tickets at £76.50.

Acclaimed folk artist Steve Knightley is set to perform in South Petherton this weekend.
Knightley, a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, will appear at The David Hall on Friday, January 30, as part of Independent Venue Week 2026.
Known for his work with Show of Hands, Knightley is recognised for his connection to the West Country.
His music blends English traditional folk, influences from Bob Dylan, and the poetry of Ted Hughes, addressing both historical and contemporary themes.
The performance will run from 8pm to 10.30pm.

Julian Stringle with the Craig Milverton Trio - From Benny to Buddy
A renowned musician is set to perform in Ilminster this weekend.
Julian Stringle, hailed by Sir John Dankworth as the best clarinettist in British jazz for decades, will perform alongside the Craig Milverton Trio in a show named From Benny to Buddy.
The performance will commence at 7.30pm on Saturday, January 31, at the Ilminster Arts Centre.
Stringle has played with jazz greats like George Chisholm and Kenny Baker.
Milverton, known for his deep understanding of jazz styles, has regularly backed top vocalists.
