A variety of events are set to take place in South Somerset over the next week.
Swan Festival Part Two
Yeovil's Swan Theatre is set to continue its 50th-anniversary celebrations this week.
Part two of the Swan Festival will begin on Thursday, January 22, with the premiere of Midnight Radio, an atmospheric film by director Sebastian Boudin.
The movie, which was shot locally, including, in substantial part, at the theatre.
Friday, January 23, will feature an evening of classical music by the Kilma Piano Trio, including pieces by Dvořák and Rachmaninov.
The celebration will conclude with a quiz night on Saturday, January 24.

YAPS: The Wizard of Oz
A fresh adaptation of The Wizard of Oz is coming to Yeovil.
YAPS are presenting a new twist on the classic tale, running from Thursday, January 22, to Saturday, January 24, at the Westlands Ballroom.
The production follows Dorothy Gale, whisked away into a whirlwind of adventures in the Land of Oz.
Tickets for Thursday's show cost £16.50, with Friday and both Saturday shows priced at £18.50; all bookings are subject to a £2 transaction fee.
Show times are 7.15pm on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday performances at 1.30pm and 6.30pm.

Manor Court Art Exhibition
An art exhibition featuring children’s work inspired by Frida Kahlo is set to take place in Chard this week.
Hosted by The Arts Council, the exhibition will be held at Chard Guildhall on Friday, January 23, from 9.30am to 5pm.
The event will showcase art from pupils at Manor Court Community Primary School, from early years childcare to year six.
The school encourages donations to charity, although entry is free.
Bowie Fashion
An authentic David Bowie tribute event is set to rock Ilminster this week.
Bowie Fashion will take to the stage at Ilminster Arts Centre on Friday, January 23, at 7.30pm.
The show promises a high-energy showcase of the iconic British musician's 45-year legacy and will include hits such as Life on Mars, Let's Dance, Space Oddity, Ashes to Ashes, and Changes.

Doors open at 6.30pm and a bar will be available.
Rum Ragged
A Canadian folk band is set to perform in South Petherton.
Rum Ragged, from Newfoundland, will play at The David Hall on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 8pm.
The band, formed by Aaron Collis and Mark Manning, takes a bold approach to the distinct Folk music of their home, boasting bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, guitar, and button accordion.
This young band have quickly become known as the finest purveyors of their great living musical tradition.
Tickets for the concert are priced at £18.50, with concessions costing £17.50.

Goldenstone Chamber Music – Rowan Patterson
Works by Beethoven, Brahms, Elgar and Stravinsky will be performed in Crewkerne this weekend.
Taking place at the South Somerset Music Centre on January 24, the event will run from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Tickets start at £6 for children aged 16 and under, and £12 for adults, with premium tickets costing £15 for adults.
