A CHARD pub is reopening under new management with the updated date revealed after the team faced initial "set backs".
Christopher Cullen and Jack Stevenson have announced they plan to reopen Ye Olde Poppe Inn, located in Tatworth, Chard, on Saturday, July 26 for music, pizza and drinks in the garden (weather permitting).
The initial date of the grand re-opening was supposed to have been July 12, however this has since been delayed.
On Facebook the pair said: "We had planned to re-open on the 12th July, however we’ve had a few set backs so hope to now re-open on the 26th.
"We really look forward to welcoming you all."
They added: "We apologise for any future bookings that the previous owners had made, our new number will be live from the 17th July."

After being asked how they are feeling in an interview with the Chard and Ilminster News, Chris and Jack said: We are “overwhelmed and exhausted from getting the pub ready, however [we are also] excited and we feel very uplifted by the support on social media/from meeting the community in person.
"We have had loads of family and friends helping, but we’ve also had local people helping us daily get this pub ready for the public, locals Vicky and Tony have been amazing.
“We cannot wait to get stuck into Tatworth and become a part of Chard community.”
