More than 150 people walked through Chard town centre on Good Friday in a religious procession.
Chard Churches Together organised the event on Friday, April 18, which included volunteer actors dressed as Jesus, Romans, and followers.
The group walked in silence to a drumbeat, stopping at four stations for Gospel readings, prayers, and hymns.
These stations were the Baptist Church, Lace Mill, Guildhall, and the Welcome to Chard stone.
At each station, a representative from one of the nine district churches shared a message.
The walk aimed to reflect on Jesus's last journey to crucifixion and demonstrate the significance of Good Friday.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Hopefully, the walk reminded people of the real meaning of Good Friday and to look forward to the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday and chocolate eggs symbolising ‘New Life’."
Participants enjoyed refreshments, including hot cross buns, at English Martyrs Hall.
