A round-robin darts tournament is being held in memory of a popular landlord in Chard.
The event will take place on December 28 at the Phoenix Hotel, Chard, and is being organised by the Chard and District Darts League in memory of Steven Jones, who was the previous landlord of the establishment.
He and Sarah Jones were known supporters of Alopecia UK, as their youngest son has the condition.
Now, the league has put out an appeal for players to take part in the tournament, which has a minimum requirement of 32 players.
With an entrance fee of £5, the fees will be donated to Alopecia UK.
"Steve was a great man and did so many things to help the darts league and without his help, the league wouldn't be where it is today. He is still sadly missed and the League hope that this event will not only honour his name but help a great cause that was close to him and his family," Matt Ballance, the league's secretary, said. "We are currently taking bookings for the competition".
The tournament is set to start at 11am and finish at approximately 9pm, depending on the number of entries.
A poster is currently being devised to share on social media and to be put up in venues around Chard.
