THE U3A will hold an event to give information on the hidden gems of Somerset, The ‘50 Gems of Somerset’ event will take place at the Guildhall on Monday, February 19 at the Guildhall at 2pm.
The U3A group said: “Well known Somerset author Andrew Powell Thomas takes us on a journey of the Hidden Gems of Somerset with its Roman remains, magnificent castles, and houses.
Entry is £2 and includes refreshments.
Non-members will be welcome.

The U3A also runs the following group: skittles, intermediate acoustic guitar, and art group.
There also are nearly 50 different activity groups, ranging from the more cerebral pursuits of considering poetry, books, or Life and the Universe amongst others, to the more physically active groups such as table tennis, walking, badminton, and the like, catering for all ranges of ability.
