OFFICERS have returned £427 stolen groceries and reunited two goats to their owners after “a busy few days” across South Somerset.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Officers from Chard, Crewkerne, Ilminster, and South Petherton Neighbourhood Team have had a busy few days.
“We have:
- - Reunited two stolen goats to their owners
- - Returned £427 worth of groceries, that had been stolen, to Lidl's
- - Began our Mini Police innovative at St. Bartholomew's Primary School
- - Attended Crewkerne Youth Club
- - Gave a talk at Kingsbury Episcopi Primary School to the Year 1 and Reception class
- - Attended the Local Community Network meeting
- - Various multi-agency meetings
“These are only a handful of our engagements over our last few shifts. These are all carried out alongside our day-to-day business.”
