CUSTOMERS and friends of Thorncombe Village Shop congregated in the village hall this week to enjoy the annual Christmas Lunch.
On Tuesday, December 12, the hall had been beautifully decorated, and raffle tickets were on sale, the prize being a Tuesday lunch for two in the shop.
These lunches are prepared and served by volunteers, all of whom were helping today to cook, serve, and clear away.
Thorncombe Village Shop also held a special pre-Christmas late-night opening on November 30, when customers old and new convened to sample the wines and spirits available in the shop, together with a range of nibbles.
The Little Boutique was stocked with beautiful items and many customers took the opportunity to complete their Christmas shopping.
Father Christmas took time out from his busy schedule to visit us and was thrilled to win the huge box of vegetables in the raffle, thus ensuring that he and the reindeer had all they needed to complete their Christmas dinner.
