CHARD United Football Club are seeking new investors in order to kick start a community project to provide community changing rooms for the next generation of local sports people at Jocelyn Park.
The club have gained funding from Somerset County Council (£83k), Football Foundation (£25K-pending) and various club fundraising activities already.
However the soaring costs of materials have meant that the new costs have escalated to a level that now they are requiring an additional £10,500.
The project will give the community a permanent structure and potential opportunities for youth/woman and disability participation.
A spokesperson from the football club said: "We are looking for investors from businesses in the local area. Who have a passion for helping local causes."
And Club chairman said: "Chard Utd FC will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2024 and we wold love these community changing rooms in place as a permanent structure to serve the community needs and protect all the hard work and great club we have been working on over the years.
"Please help in helping us URGENTLY raise the £10.5k to get this project off the ground."
