SOMERSET-based specialist communications agency, ADPR, has been appointed by Ferne Animal Sanctuary as it enhances its communication and fundraising strategy.

Ferne Animal Sanctuary, based in Wambrook near Chard, has enlisted the award-winning support of ADPR to drive brand awareness and fundraising which will propel the charity’s appeals for new equipment, and to provide vital care and shelter for animals who need it most.

Jenny Walford, acting managing director at ADPR, said: “We are very excited to be working with Ferne Animal Sanctuary, not just because we’re avid animal lovers ourselves, but also because we are enthusiastic about communicating the charity’s important mission and support needed to continue providing such high-quality care and homes for hundreds of animals.

“We will be devising and executing a long-term PR and marketing strategy which will drive meaningful storytelling to place the charity at the forefront of people’s minds.”

As part of its holistic strategy, ADPR has enlisted Global Media to deliver a 12-month digital, radio, and outdoor advertising campaign.

Kelly Thomas, Senior Account Manager at Global Media said: “I am really excited to be working with ADPR and Ferne across their multiplatform advertising campaign.

“I feel that once more and more people learn about the wonderful work being done at the sanctuary, the visitor numbers will increase, which in turn will help this invaluable cause.”

Ferne Animal Sanctuary is a non-government-funded charity that has provided refuge and rehabilitation to its animal residents for more than 80 years.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and nestled in the Blackdown Hills near Chard, Ferne Animal Sanctuary houses and cares for more than 300 animals on its 72-acre site.

Kevan Hodges, chief executive officer at Ferne Animal Sanctuary, said: “We are delighted to bring the ADPR team on board and draw on their creative expertise to help us increase brand awareness across the county and beyond.

“We want to work with people that understand not just what we do, but why we do it and we were impressed with ADPR’s enthusiasm.

“On behalf of the dedicated team and volunteers at Ferne Animal Sanctuary, we are thrilled to ignite this relationship and look forward to an exciting future ahead.”
