HOLYROOD Academy recently celebrated leavers with its “unique annual tradition”.

Staff at the academy said “each student worked incredibly hard to get where they’re at now and they deserve to be recognized for all their accomplishments and achievements”.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Holyrood held their celebration day on June 27 when they have a unique annual tradition for all leavers to show up in the most unusual mode of transport.

“Holyrood leavers arrived on horse and cart, in wheelbarrows, on boats, in tractors, in fire engines, in golf carts, and even military-grade vehicles, just to name a few.

“After a full day of celebrations, nibbles, and saying tearful goodbyes to the school, they went off to celebrate their prom at Haselbury Mill for an elegant two-course meal followed by a disco.

“Holyrood would like to personally congratulate every single leaver and wish them nothing but the best in their future to come.

“Each student worked incredibly hard to get where they’re at now and they deserve to be recognized for all their accomplishments and achievements during their time at Holyrood Academy.

“We are so proud that they are leaving behind such a huge legacy. September’s new Year 11s have some pretty big boots to fill. As Lao Tzo once said, ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’”
