AN uninsured driver from Chard has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Andrew Kevin Collins, 52, of Windsor Crescent, committed the offence in the town's Bath Street on June 6 last year, Bath Magistrates' Court was told.

After the case against him was proved, he was handed a £660 fine and ordered to pay £110 costs

Collins was also disqualified from driving for six months due to "repeat offending" at the hearing last Thursday (April 20).

He has until May 19 to pay his total court bill of £770.
