MUSIC lovers looking to round off their year with some live music can enjoy songs performed by guitarist and singer Andy Doran at a South Somerset pub this New Year’s Eve.
Andy will be playing live at Dinnington Docks on Fosse Way in Hinton St George on Saturday, December 31 from 9pm.
Matthew Mills, owner of the pub, said: “We’re thrilled to be seeing out 2022 with a great celebration this year with live music from Andy. He has played for us in the past and our customers thoroughly enjoy his performances and last time he came they were up on their feet singing and dancing, so we just had to get him back again.”
Set in the rolling Somerset countryside, Dinnington Docks has a large garden, skittle alley and ample parking on-site.
It is well known for its Cask Marque approved ales, ciders and spirits along with an extensive wine list, all complementing the menu boasting ingredients from the area.
The pub was named after the canal docks close by and was serviced by a train line that passed to the side of the then Rose & Crown.
Photographs of the docks and railway can be seen hanging on the wall of the bar, along with items of rail memorabilia.
Andy has more than 35 years of experience as a professional musician at pubs, clubs, functions, restaurants and hotel lounges across the South West.
His repertoire includes a variety of classic and modern cover tracks. He has toured with the late, great Cornish comedian, Jethro, and performed for King Charles III, when he was Prince Charles, and for the young Princes William and Harry.
Andy said: “This will be my final gig of the year and I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone. All the regulars are so full of energy and it’s great to see people enjoying my music and dancing and singing along.
“I will be putting together a great set of classic and modern cover tracks to make sure it’s a memorable night for everyone.”
