A school spokesperson said: “Children in Need is always part of our school calendar and part of our work as a school for courageous advocacy.

“This is a charity that as a school we can relate to and understand why we need to support the children in our communities.

“Supporting this charity helps our children to appreciate the range of different lives children may have and as a school, to help us appreciate some of these children who will live in our community and what we can do to ensure these children and families have the support they need.

“We also hope it helps some of our children see that there are others in their positions and they can talk about situations they find themselves in so that they can feel heard and supported.

“The non-uniform for Children in Need, this year with a theme of spots, sparkle or shine for Pudsey is always great fun and our count shows we have raised over £350 and we thank everyone for their generosity.”
