BRAINWAVE charity shops in Somerset have issued an urgent appeal for donations of clothing, toys, books, and bric a brac to keep up with the demand.

The charity also operates in Crewkerne and its shops have been running for more than 20 years and have always been popular with the local community.

There are five shops in Somerset that are all appealing for donations. Bobby Lovelock shop manager at Somerset shop said: “We’ve been so popular since all the lockdown restrictions were lifted and unbelievably have sold many of the stored items that were kindly donated.

“Now’s the time that we could really do with some new donations. If anyone is planning on having a clear out please keep us in mind and we’re always on the lookout for volunteers who can spare some time to help out too.”

Since 1982, Brainwave (which has its headquarters in Bridgwater, Somerset) has delivered over 13,000 assessments to children with a range of conditions including autism, cerebral palsy, sensory processing, and Downs syndrome nationwide.
