TROY Ellis and his Hail Jamaica band will be rocking the hearts and minds of the people of Chard for the first time.

The band will play at Chard Cricket Club on September 24, as part of the Reggae Night.

Reggae Night is an event aiming to capture the audience through live and authentic music.

Troy will be performing his original music and cover versions of music from some of the greatest pioneers of reggae.

Troy 'Lovers' Ellis Son of the legendary Alton Ellis O.D. has performed from the early ages of childhood performing on the street corners of Trenchtown, Jamaica to prestigious venues such as London's Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury Festivals' Jazz World Stage.

Hootananny Brixton, Jazz Cafe London, and various festivals all over the UK, including One Love Festival, Strawberry Fields, Nozstock, Boomtown, and many more.

Troy and his Hail Jamaica Band are booked to perform with one of Jamaica's reggae icons, Luciano, in Germany this month.
