A TRIO performing baroque, classical, and contemporary music will be in the South West for a tour.

Prize-winning violinist, Eloisa-Fleur Thom, violist Stephen Upshaw, and Sam Armstrong, will play in Ilminster and Crewkerne in May.

Eloisa-Fleur Thom is also a director and curator.

Highlights of her career so far include performing JS Bach’s Concerto in D minor for two violins with the celebrated violinist Maxim Vengerov, chamber music with Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood (LCO soloists), and appearing as soloist at the 2019 BBC Proms for Arvo Pärt!s Fratres with 12 ensemble.

"Supercharged! American violist Stephen Upshaw made his concerto debut at just 17, when he has won several competitions and played in festivals around the world including the BBC Proms, Cheltenham, IMS Prussia Cove, Lucerne, Brighton, Huddersfield, and more.

Hailed as "a major new talent" by International Piano after his Wigmore Hall recital debut, British pianist Sam Armstrong brings deeply felt interpretive power to the solo, chamber music, and vocal repertoire.

He has appeared in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall New York, Seoul Arts Center, Singapore Esplanade, and the Royal Festival Hall.

The trio will play in Ilminster on May 6 at 7.30pm at the Ilminster Art Centre, and in Crewkerne on May 7 at 7.30pm at the Dance House.
