THIS Friday, March 25 will be ‘Wear A Hat Day’ and you can get FREE pancakes at B&Q in Chard from 3.30-7pm.
This is because close friend of Chard United club legend Alex Ives will be raising for Brain Tumour Research through his food truck - Pancake Pod.
Alex tragically passed away earlier this month after a long battle with illness and to honour his life John Furnish is looking to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
"This is a cause close to our hearts following our recent loss of our friend, Alex Ives or more commonly known as Jibber, to a brain tumour.
"As we remember Alex, we also hold close to us people currently living with a Brain Tumour diagnosis, their families and friends, and aim to fundraise as much money as we can.
"All pancakes will be ‘FREE’ with a request that a donation to Brain Tumour Research be given, either at our event or via our Just Giving Page."
