A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital “with a serious leg injury” after a collision with a lorry in Chard.
Emergency services attended the scene and a woman was taken to Southmead Hospital by air ambulance.
Avon and Somerset Police said the incident took place today, Monday, January 17 at around 11.25am on Furnham Road when they received reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry.
A police spokesperson said: “At 11.25am today we received a report of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian on Furnham Road, Chard.
“The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to Southmead Hospital by air ambulance with a serious leg injury.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
