POLICE in Chard took part in an operation to crackdown on cross-county crime.
Officers from Chard Neighbourhood Policing team kinked up with their counterparts from East Devon on Sunday afternoon.
They carried out mobile patrols in Chard in an unmarked police vehicle in an attempt to locate "individuals responsible for criminal activity" across county borders.
A South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team spokesperson said: "As a result Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act searches were carried out and a vehicle was seized after being seen being driven without insurance, MOT and tax.
"This police activity will continue in the coming months in order to tackle the issues and to ensure we make both our communities a safer and more enjoyable place to live in.
"Crime has no borders and neither do we."
