A HEARTLESS thief has stolen a mobility scooter in Chard.
Police are appealing for information to the crime in the Millfield area of the town.
The scooter was taken from outside the sheltered accommodation in the area some time after midnight last Saturday (December 4).
The mobility scooter is a Kymco For U in black.
Neighbourhood Police PC Paul Thomas, said: “The victim relies on their mobility scooter and have understandably been left upset at losing their essential transport.
"I am appealing for any witnesses to the theft, or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Millfield on the night of Saturday 4th December 2021 to contact police.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who comes across a mobility scooter matching the descriptions given in unusual circumstances.”
