CLOSED: The MIU at Chard Hospital
CHARD's Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) is CLOSED to patients today (July 10).
The department, at Chard Hospital, usually welcomes patients between 8am and 9pm seven days a week.
But the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed the unit is closed all day today.
No reason has been given for the closure.
Other MIUs remain open, including Frome, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury, are open.
However, the news comes after it was confirmed Minehead's MIU would be closed overnight for four months, starting on July 1.
