AN URGENT appeal has gone out from staff at the Vaughan Lee House residential care home in Ilminster.
Staff at the home in Orchard Vale, run by Ilminster and District Housing Society, are looking forward to getting into the spirit of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee later this year by holding a garden party in June for residents, families and volunteers.
But they have a problem – they won’t have enough tea cups and saucers to cope with the expected demand.
Randi Jeeps, of Vaughan Lee House, said: “If anyone is having a clear out, we’d be delighted to accept donations of tea cups and saucers. You can either drop them – not literally I hasten to add! – into Vaughan Lee House or we can come and pick them up.”
Anyone who would like to help is asked to call 01460-52077.
