A RECRUITMENT drive for a new project that involves church based volunteers engaging with members of the community will take place in Chard on July 14.
Parishioners, councillors and police officers are set to come together for the launch of the town’s Street Pastors service at Chard Baptist Church from 6pm.
Prospective volunteers, town traders and licence holders are invited to attend to find out more about the initiative, which operates in more than 150 towns and cities across the country.
Taunton Street Pastors co-ordinator Adrian Prior-Sankey will also be on hand to answer any questions.
