CAT and dog owners are being offered a chance to microchip their pets while raising money for Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
The charity, near Chard, is holding appointments on Wednesday, June 30, in return for a £10 donation, as part of National Microchipping Month.
Microchipping is now recognised as the most effective and secure way of permanently identifying a pet.
Details of both the pet and owner are kept on a database and once the chip is scanned this information can be accessed quickly.
