Biking bobbies take a breather
CHARD PCs Jim Breakwell and Mick Cowlam called into the town’s police station en route to completing a mammoth John o'Groats to Land's End cycle ride.
The officers had just 140 miles to go when they passed through the town on Tuesday, after starting the challenge on June 4.
They hope to raise £5,000, to be split between CLIC Sargent, St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice and forces charity Help for Heroes.
