ALIVE Community Theatre is bringing Broadway to Ilminster from tonight with the toe-tapping hit musical ‘Curtains’.
The musical is set in America in the bright, brassy and promising year of 1959 as Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of Robbin’ Hood.
However all is not well when the lead actress is murdered at the end of the performance, but who could have done it?
The musical takes us on a quest to find the murderer before they can kill again – will they make it in time? Who did it? But most importantly, will they be able to save the show?
Following a very successful Broadway run, the ‘Curtains’ producers have given ALIVE express permission to put this on as the UK amateur premiere, the very first group to show this amazing musical to the British public.
‘Curtains’ will be showing at The Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster from tonight - Thursday, November 26, to Saturday, November 28, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £7.50 and are available from Lanes Garden Centre in Ilminster, from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, and from the Warehouse box office, 6pm to 8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, or by calling 07502-189717.
