ART critic and presenter Brian Sewell will be visiting Dillington House on Saturday to talk about one of the finest small galleries in the world.
The Courtauld Gallery is situated in London’s Somerset House and boasts an incredibly fine collection including some iconic masterpieces such as Manet’s Bar at the Folies Bergère.
Brian was educated at the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School and then Courtauld Institute of Art.
He then went on to work at Christie’s Auction House, specialising in Old Master painting and drawings before becoming art critic of the Evening Standard in 1984.
He has also appeared on both radio and television, including Brian Sewell’s Grand Tours for Channel Five in 2006.
