Man sentenced for criminal damage and assault in Crewkerne

A MAN has been sentenced in magistrates’ court for criminal damage and assault by beating in Crewkerne.

The defendant, Richard Cosby, 36, of Ivelway, Crewkerne, appeared in Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on August 4 of this year.

Cosby was charged with criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and assault by beating.

Cosby pleaded guilty to both charges on April 20 of this year.

The court listings state that Cosby has been sentenced to complete a community order, which includes 40 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Cosby must also pay a surcharge of £114 and a fine of £80.
