This week, Andy Burnham became Britain's seventh Prime Minister in the last decade, writes Adam Dance MP.
That is an extraordinary amount of political change in a short space of time, and it's no surprise that many people have lost confidence in politics.
Across Chard, Ilminster and the surrounding villages, people tell me they want politicians to stop arguing and start delivering.
They want better access to NHS dentistry.
They want support for local farmers.
They want children with SEND to get the help they deserve.
They want better public transport, safer communities and stronger local services.
That is where my attention will remain.
The Liberal Democrats will judge the new government by its actions, not its words.
We've heard big promises from previous Prime Ministers.
What matters now is whether those promises become reality.
One decision I do welcome is the new Prime Minister's decision to scrap the proposed mandatory digital ID scheme.
The Liberal Democrats campaigned hard against it because it would have been an expensive and unnecessary use of taxpayers' money.
That funding can now be better spent on improving the services people actually use.

The Prime Minister has also spoken about moving power away from Whitehall.
As someone who served as a local councillor before becoming your MP, I know local communities often understand their own challenges far better than central government.
But that only works if local councils are properly funded and genuinely trusted to make decisions.
I also believe the South West must have a stronger voice in national decision-making.
Working alongside my Liberal Democrat colleagues, I'll continue championing our region and making sure it gets the attention it deserves.
We have world-class businesses, a thriving farming sector, leading aerospace manufacturers and ambitious young people.
We should be attracting investment that creates jobs, improves transport and strengthens our public services.
The South West should never be treated as an afterthought.
As your MP, I've continued to press the government on everything from NHS dentistry and SEND reform to banking services, flooding, farming and defence jobs.
I'll continue working across party lines whenever it helps deliver better outcomes for local people.
Politics isn't about headlines.
It's about improving people's lives.
Whatever changes happen in Westminster, my priority remains exactly the same: standing up for Chard, Ilminster, Yeovil and the villages across our constituency, and making sure the South West gets the investment, opportunities and attention it deserves.
