An Italian restaurant could soon be selling alcohol and hosting live music in Yeovil.

Atrium Italian, based at 11-12 South Western Terrace, has applied to Somerset Council for a premises licence.

If approved, the premises would be able to sell alcohol from midday to 11.45pm on Monday to Thursday, from midday to 12.45am on Fridays and Saturdays, and from midday to 11.45pm on Sundays.

It is also seeking permission to play recorded music from 9am to midnight Monday to Thursday, from 9am to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 9am to midnight on Sundays.

In addition, the application includes a request to hold live music each night of the week from 7pm to 11pm.

Written representations, detailing the grounds of objection in full, must be submitted by Tuesday, February 3.

These must be emailed to licensing.south@somerset.gov.uk.

Somerset Council has reminded the public that it is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application.

The maximum fine for which a person is liable is a level five on the standard scale.
