AVON and Somerset Police have issued an appeal following a hit and run in Yeovil, which left a woman in her late seventies with injuries.

At around 9.25am on Monday, December 29, police officers received reports of a vehicle mounting the pavement, which was involved in a collision with a woman in her late seventies on Ilchester Road.

The police said the vehicle is reported to have failed to stop after the collision.

The victim was treated by paramedics for minor injuries, which did not require hospital treatment.
