A popular West End and Broadway musical is set to return to Yeovil later this year.
Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story has announced an extension of its UK tour, meaning the show will be performed at Westlands Entertainment Venue between Thursday, November 6 and Saturday, November 8.
The tour opens at the Birmingham Hippodrome on Wednesday, August 27, for six performances, before heading to different venues across the country.
Tickets for the Yeovil Show are available at westlandsyeovil.co.uk or by calling 01935 422 884.
The musical tells the story of Buddy Holly from his early influences to his tragic death, aged 22.
The show features more than 20 of his greatest hits, including That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, and Oh Boy.
AJ Jenks is set to return and play the role of Buddy Holly at the majority of the performances, while Joe Sterling will also play the role of Buddy at some performances.
Writer and executive producer Alan Janes said: "We are very excited to be back on tour.
"The electricity and connection created between cast on stage and audience members – aged eight to 80 – at each performance is palpable.
"Witnessing people of all ages up out of their seats and dancing in the aisles, caught up in the energy and pure joy of the music, is something to behold and never fails to amaze with this show.
"The music very much lives on."
The musical has enjoyed a record-breaking 4,900 performances over 614 weeks on tour in the UK and Ireland, as well as 5,822 performances over 728 weeks in London’s West End.
