Yeovil primary school St Michael's Academy say they are excited to be hosting an ‘inspirational’ workshop with Commonwealth high jumper Robert Mitchell on Friday, April 25, writes Matt Evans.
The academy has also started a Crowdfunder campaign to give back to Sports For Champions, an initiative that sends professional athletes like Robert to schools across the country.
Once the £1,000 target set by St Michael's has been reached, funds can be diverted to improving the school’s facilities and to provide continued growth.

Robert, a finalist at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, will be speaking at a whole school assembly, sharing his stories, medals, and insights to capture the imagination of the pupils and to inspire healthier, active lifestyles.
In addition, students will be put through their paces in a fitness circuit hosted by the British high jumper.
Sports For Champions stated: "By inspiring children as champions of tomorrow, Sports For Champions envision young people developing in all walks of life as healthy, active, community-minded participants in society."
