Blackdown District Scout Council have announced they are looking for volunteers to join their vacant trustee posts, writes Matt Evans.
Scout Association trustees operate under the rules of the Charities Commission, within a trustee board structure at each group, district and county level.
Each board is a team of volunteers working together with strategic, financial and governance responsibilities.
The district Scouts said: "Being a trustee is great for professional development, particularly those looking for experience in strategic planning, finance, risk management and general board level experience.
"We need people who can see things from different viewpoints and who are passionate about supporting their community."
No previous experience in scouting or as a trustee is necessary, and while the time commitment can vary, it is usual for the trustees to meet five to seven times a year.
