A TAUNTON-based man has organised a charity rave event supporting CALM and Winston’s Wish in honour of his “beautiful daughter” Amy, Louise Manning who took her own life in January.
According to Daniel, Amy, who lived in Yeovil, Somerset with her family was 32 and left two children behind when she died.
“This has left a massive hole in our lives,” he said. “As well as nationally, in our local area we have lost too many people to suicide in recent times.”
“This is our first year without her coming up to Christmas and she loved Christmas and everything about Christmas. This event is in honour of our beautiful Amy who we all miss each and every day, there are lots of families out there who sadly will be without a loved one this Christmas and these two charities provide an incredible service to help people in crisis and families and children dealing with grief,” Daniel added.

Daniel Manning has been working closely with Bar 61 in Taunton, Somerset, over the last three-four months to arrange a charity rave taking place on Friday, December 20 in support of two “fantastic” charities – CALM and Winston’s Wish.
“Its been a lot of work,” Daniel said.
After working with both charities on-and-off throughout the year, this is the second event that Daniel Manning has organised in honour of his daughter Amy Louise Manning who took her own life on January 17, 2024.
According to Daniel, CALM has been running an “amazing” suicide campaign, with their mission statement being “we’re the suicide prevention charity on a mission to help people end their misery, not their lives.
Winston’s Wish, on the other hand, provides bereavement services to families and children after a loved one is lost and helps them to “find their feet when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.”

A "star line-up"
Daniel also told us that he is really excited for the event, which has a line-up of “superstar DJs and great local talent all under the same roof for the first time” - including famous DJ Slipmatt ("the godfather of rave").
“It should be amazing,” he said.
Tone FM radio station will also be supporting this event so it should be a night to remember.
Daniel wants to thank everybody for their support over the last year – especially all the DJs who will be attending the event, Tone FM radio team, both charities and all the volunteers who have given up their free time to make the night memorable.
“I hope to see everyone on the dance floor,” he said.
