A ROAD in Chard is set to close in order to conduct roadworks.
St Marys Crescent is due to be temporarily shut down under an order issued by Somerset Council.
This was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on January 18.
The closure will extend from 37 metres north of the junction with Summerfields Road north-eastwards for a total of 69 metres.
It will enable Utility Services Ltd to conduct key maintenance - such as replacing a pole - on behalf of Openreach.
The roadworks are scheduled to start on February 8 and will last for a duration of two days, concluding on February 9, operating between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
