POLICE are investigating after a 7.5 tonne lorry hit lamp posts and cones and mounted kerbs before the morning rush hour.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the white vehicle seen being driven "dangerously".

They want to speak to anyone who saw the incident on the A303, Thorne Lane and Western Avenue areas of Yeovil and along the A37 between Yeovil and Ilchester.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "The lorry was reportedly driving dangerously between 6.15-6.45am on Friday 18 August.

"It collided with lampposts and cones and mounted various kerbs on its journey and had a damaged windscreen.

"If you have any information, or witnessed any of the incidents, please call us."
