A MAN who was airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle collision near Chard has died.
The accident happened at the A30 junction with the B3167 at Cricket St Thomas at around 3.30pm yesterday (Saturday, September 24) and involved a blue Fiat Panda car and a Triumph Sprint motorcycle.
Avon and Somerset Police said the motorcyclist was airlifted to Southmead Hospital yesterday but later died from his injuries.
They are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

A spokesperson said: “His next of kin have been informed and they will be supported by a specially trained liaison officer. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.”
