Having lost two events due to the pandemic the organising committee were determined to make sure the 2022 Folk Fest was the best ever.
The day started at 10am with a procession into the Market Square where the proceedings were opened with the Ceremony of the Glove.
Events took place in The Market Square, The Brewers Arms, St Peters and St Paul’s Church, The David Hall and The Blake Hall throughout the day.
This was a day of free entertainment for all ages that included children’s activities and workshops.
There was a full programme of music and dance in The Market Square, a quality music programme in the David Hall plus sessions in the Brewers Arms culminating with a live band in the evening.
