AN item left on the hob in a kitchen caused a fire yesterday afternoon (Friday, March 18).
Crews from Chard attended the fire at a residential property in Winsham.
The fire broke out around 2.30pm.
"The fire originated in the kitchen where an item had accidentally been left on the hob," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, and one thermal imaging camera."
