POLICE are appealing for information after an incident at a bank yesterday (November 26).
A bank, in Middle Street, Yeovil, contacted the police around 2.05pm to say a man had entered the branch and made threats to carry out a robbery.
He then left the bank on foot.
"We’re keen to hear from anyone who saw the way he travelled after leaving the bank or who was driving in the vicinity and may have relevant dashcam footage," said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police.
"Officers attended the scene and conducted an area tour but it proved negative."
Police are looking for the man pictured in the CCTV footage, as they wish to talk to him about the investigation.
"He’s described as white, in his late-30s or early-40s, of a slim build and estimated to be just under 6ft," a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police added.
"He is seen wearing dark clothing, a beanie-style hat and also carried a black rucksack.
"Witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police, or anyone who recognises the individual, are asked to call 101 and give reference number 5221278565.
"Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
