THINGS will be getting spooky at a Somerset animal sanctuary.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary, at Wambrook near Chard, has unveiled details of the Halloween Extravaganza event, which will run from Friday, October 22 to Monday, November 1.
"There is so much fun stuff planned, with special Halloween treats at the café and a special guest – Wendy the Witch - who will be walking around the Sanctuary," said a spokesperson.
"Ferne has a creative workshop - Build a Spider - which will take place on October 30, and a spooky educational trail for everyone to enjoy as they walk around the centre.
"We will also be judging the best carved pumpkins and the best fancy dressed visitors – so please bring in your best carved pumpkin or come dressed as something scary or something funny."
The best dressed visitors will appear in the Ferne Halloween Hall of Fame, they said.
