Marlow-born golfer Tyrrell Hatton has been called up to Team Europe for the Ryder Cup for a second consecutive time.

Held in the United States, Hatton will make his first away appearance in the competition when he joins the team in Whistling Straits.

Hatton, who is a member at Harleyford Golf Club, made his Ryder Cup debut in 2018 after qualifying for Thomas Bjørn’s victorious European team which was held in the French capital.

In Paris, Hatton picked up one point from three matches with his win coming alongside Casey in the Saturday morning fourball matches.

Since the 2018 Ryder Cup, Hatton has won four titles including the Turkish Airlines Open, BMW PGA Championship and Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship - all Rolex Series events on the European Tour – as well as the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA TOUR.

After opening 2021 with a victory in Abu Dhabi, Hatton has recorded three further top-ten finishes.

The 43rd edition of the usually-biennial event starts on September 24, after being delayed by one year by the coronavirus pandemic.
