SINGERS will be able to get their voices back in action at a special event next month.
Having last met in March 2000, the South Somerset Community Choir is delighted that rehearsals can begin again in September - and are organising a “Come and Sing” event for all singers.
Formed in 2016 by musical director Jonathan Delbridge, the choir sings a wide range of music, from popular tunes to folk songs and show tunes to jazz standards.
The Covid pandemic has prevented the choir, which numbers around 60 singers, meeting since March 2020 but as restrictions have been eased, rehearsals can resume in September.
The “Come and Sing” event will be on September 13 at Crewkerne Methodist Church, in South Street, Crewkerne.
Singers of all abilities are very welcome to attend the event, which begins at 7.30pm and will finish around 9pm.
